One of the highlights of the month tonight; the photo club meeting! Tonight we will visit one of the members’ workplace, a marine laboratory, and see how he makes his beautiful macro shots, as well as look at another members’ underwater photos. Cool! This is why I really like being a member of a club [läs mer...]  A few days ago I tried my hands at shooting HDR (High Dynamic Range) for the first time. In essence what this means is that you try to compensate for the fact that with a camera you have to choose if you want detail in the shadows or in the highlights (such as clouds). [läs mer...] Yesterday I went back to the place I first tried film, and this time I brought the tripod. That made a huge difference! I still made one mistake though, I only brought my 18-55WR zoom (some light rain was happening and that lens is weatherproof), and I’m not happy about the optical quality of it [läs mer...] Yesterday evening we were at Lokstallet to see a performance from 3 separate artists. It was an inspirational evening, and a good reminder for me that photographing people is something I like and am good at! :) [läs mer...] I don’t usually go for black and white, but some things really gain when viewed in black and white. |
